My Top 100 Movies

This is a completely subjective list of my favorite movies of all time. This list was inspired in part from the IMDb Top 250. With many of these titles, I went back and forth, and had a great difficulty actually numbering and scoring them. I also reserve the right to change anything I want at my whim at any time. It is my list after all :-)

Generally, action movies are skewed up a bit as that is my favorite genre. I also enjoy dramas. I typically do not like horror, or war movies, an you can tell that they are pretty much absent from this list.

What is this blog about?!?

Welcome to my blog. I will be discussing many of my thoughts here. Most will probably be related to movies and pop culture from the perspective of a self described movie geek (See Harry Knowles's website for a better understanding of what a movie geek is). Also, since I am a neuroscientist, some of my posts may reflect some of my ideas about science and society. I am also very interested in politics (I lean to the left) and consider myself to be a Christian (although that is work in progress).

I chose to start a blog as opposed to posting these thoughts on Facebook because a blog is more permanent, and Facebook seems to be a place for shorter posts. I do hope that my Facebook friends to come to my blog and read it from time to time when I post updates.
